The Small Animal Hospital (CHUVAC) of the Veterinary Campus of VetAgro-Sup, Lyon, France
is looking for a:
Resident in companion animal internal medicine
This 3-year training program will be starting on November 2nd, 2020 and is approved by the ECVIM-CA. Applicants must have successfully completed a 12-months rotating internship or have gained equivalent experience during at least two years in small animal practice and showed special interest in internal medicine.
The candidate must have good knowledge of the French language and basic knowledge of the English language.
Description of the program:
The program encompasses responsibility in internal medicine cases and includes internal and external rotations in related specialties (Diagnostic Imaging, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Critical Care, Ophthalmology). Diplomates of different specialities are on-site (Internal Medicine, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, Dermatology, Surgery, Reproduction, Emergency and Critical Care, Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Pathology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Parasitology).
The resident will be involved in clinical research projects. She/ he will participate to 3 international congresses, to a yearly oral presentation at a residents’ forum and to weekly journal clubs. The successful candidate will also be involved in clinical teaching of students and interns. One of the objectives of the program is to qualify the applicant to the ECVIM-CA examination and certification.
