We are looking for a small animal internal medicine specialist to join our team, as one of our team members is relocating to Australia. The team currently composes of three clinicians and two residents. Candidates with diploma are preferred but board eligible candidates will be considered. We are looking to attract a natural team player with high standards of communication and client care skills. The successful candidate will be working alongside specialists in soft tissue surgery orthopaedics, neurology, dermatology, cardiology, anaesthesia and analgesia. We have a highly qualified and dedicated team of nurses supporting the veterinary team with excellent 24 hour patient care.

  • Salary: 100,000 120,000 per annum (depending on experience)

There is easy access to the rest of the UK with excellent rail and Rd links via Taunton and the M5 motorway which is close by. Both Bristol and extra airports are less than an hour away by car. We located on the edge of the black down Hills looking out onto the Quantock Hills both areas of outstanding natural beauty. The whole region is renowned for its outdoor activities and lifestyle benefits but the South and North Devon coast Exmoor and Dartmoor over then an hour’s drive.


Main Responsibilities

  • Daily consultations and care of medicine cases
  • Daily communication with clients around the ongoing care of patients
  • Collaboration with other specialist disciplines within the hospital
  • phone / email advice to referring vets
  • participate in CPD for referring vets
  • out of hours rota for inpatient care and new emergency referrals
