To meet our objectives, our Radiooncology and Nuclear Medicine Platform, Internal Medicine – Companion Animals (Department for Companion Animals and Horses) is looking for a UNIVERSITY ASSISTANT

Grade:B1/Postdoc
Level of employment: 40 hours

The Platform Radio-oncology and Nuclear Medicine and the Clinical Unit of Internal Medicine Small Animal of the Department for Companion Animals and Horses are looking for a highly motivated veterinarian who competently represents the field of Medical Oncology and Small Animal Internal Medicine in research, teaching and clinical service.

Responsibilities

Clinical research in the field of expertise
Curricular Teaching Responsibilities in the field of Oncology and Small Animal Internal Medicine
Clinical care of small animal oncology patients within the Oncology service as well as support of the inhouse Small Animal Internal Medicine Service.
Further flexible overnight, weekend and emergency duties in the University Hospital for Small Animals

Necessary knowledge and qualifications

Diploma in veterinary medicine
Completed one year rotating internship or equivalent training
Clinical experience in small animal oncology
First experience in academic writing and publishing
Applicants should be fluent German (in speech and writing), level C1
Good knowledge of spoken and written English (level B2)

Further desirable qualifications

DECVIM-CA (Oncol) or DACVIM (Oncol) or board-eligible
Applicants should enjoy clinical teaching
High interest in clinical research and publishing, own research area
Ability and motivation to work in a team
Social competence

Minimum Salary

The minimum salary for university staff is regulated by the collective contract and at the level given above amounts to EUR 3.945,90 gross per month (14 times/year). The minimum salary may be increased when previous employment and other salary components are taken into account.
