We are now seeking a colleague to join our established Oncology team, as the referral centre enters an exciting period of growth. The successful candidate should be keen to further develop and enhance the care and service for our patients and clients.

We have a strong oncology team with four board-certified and one board-eligible oncologist, a discipline-specific intern and a large team of dedicated support staff. The resident will work alongside European and American boarded specialists and board-eligible consultants in Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Dermatology and ECC. The practice encourages a collegiate atmosphere and team work is essential to working at Southfields Veterinary Specialists.

The hospital has a Linear Accelerator on-site and while the training focus is in medical oncology the resident will also be involved with radiation oncology cases – SFVS is one of small number of centres in Europe to offer this opportunity. The residency program will ensure a thorough grounding in Veterinary Oncology.

We are looking for a committed and meticulous resident who has the desire to provide an outstanding service, can participate in an out-of-hours rota, and can help shape and develop our growing clinical service in support of our commitment to excellence.

As part of Southfields’ ongoing commitment to world-class expertise, the successful candidate will be enrolled on the ECVIM training programme and will be expected to sit the certifying exam in Oncology.
