Head of Service - Oncology
Eastcott Referrals are currently looking for a Head of Service - Oncology to join their growing referral term to deliver high standards of care in all disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the service by leading the oncology team, creating a dynamic clinical environment which will include developing relationships with new and established referring practices and introducing new protocols and techniques. The successful candidate will also represent Eastcott Referrals by teaching the wider veterinary community and seeking to contribute to advances in knowledge through publication of case reports and studies.

Eastcott Veterinary Clinic and Hospital is an established first opinion and specialist referral practice, in Swindon. Swindon is a growing town in the West of England with excellent connections to London, Bristol and Birmingham. It is on the edge of the classic English countryside of the Cotswolds and within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons, Devon and Cornwall. The Referral services currently include anaesthesia, cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, oral and maxillofacial surgery and soft-tissue surgery.
Eastcott, part of the Linnaeus group, are committed to excellence in everything they do. The current excellent facilities are undergoing expansion and investment in new equipment including 1.5T Siemens MRI, GE 64-slice cardiac enabled CT scanner, Philips EPIQ-7 and CX50 Ultrasound scanners, Philips Digital Diagnost 4.1digital x-ray system and Arcadis Avantic C-Arm. We aim to develop a growing oncology service which is integrated with other associated speciality disciplines and are investing in a separate chemotherapy room and ICU and hospitalisation facilities to manage complex medical and surgical facilities.
Salary for head of service will be £130,000 per annum plus a turnover related bonus. Six weeks paid leave plus eight bank holidays. Seven days of paid CPD plus a CPD allowance of £2300. Statutory pension contributions and fees paid for RCVS and VDS membership.
