Senior clinician (Oberärztin/Oberarzt) in Small Animal Internal Medicine, University of Zurich 

The Clinic for Small Animal Internal Medicine, University of Zurich invites applications for an internal medicine specialist to join the team starting June 1st, 2019. The position is a full time appointment, however part-time employment (80%) is also possible. A good working knowledge of the German language is required. 

The applicant should be board-certified or board eligible (ECVIM-CA or ACVIM). Responsibilities include clinical service, supervision of interns and residents and teaching of students. He or she should have a passion for clinical research and either have an own active research program or strengthen one of our current research areas. Our team consists of 8 board-certified internists (ACVIM or ECVIM-CA), working in the areas of general internal medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology, infectious diseases and hospital hygiene. Our residency program is approved by the European and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

Other specialties in the hospital covered by board certified individuals include cardiology, dermatology, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, neurology, anesthesia, dentistry, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, radiation-oncology, emergency and critical care and avian and zoological medicine.

The hospital is a modern facility with state- of the art equipment (e.g. 3T MRI, 16-slice CT, linear-accelerator, latest video-endoscopy devices, lithotripsy, ICU).
