Vacancy Ref: 022003

The University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to recruit a Clinician in Small Animal Medicine.

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Small Animal Medicine or equivalent qualification but a residency-trained colleague due to sit exams will also be considered. In addition to provision of a clinical service, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, interns and residents. The post will also include an element of “off-clinic” time to pursue research and scholarship (including exam study).

You will be based at the Small Animal Hospital, located at the Garscube Estate, 10 minutes drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow, and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. You will be joining a friendly and dynamic team of approximately 30 clinicians, 28 residents/interns, 40 nursing associated staff, and 11 management / administrative staff, supporting over 10 clinical specialities. In addition, there is a busy first opinion out of hour’s service supported by 4 clinicians and 14 nursing associated staff. The ability to work well with others in a collegial team atmosphere is essential.

Informal enquiries can be made to Alison Ridyard (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
