AZURVET veterinary specialist center, NICE, France

AZURVET is a specialist center located near Nice (France) offering referral-only activity since 2007. We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible (ECVIM, ACVIM), or DESV small animal internist to develop a referral medical activity. Both endoscopic and interventional skills are welcome. A very busy caseload already exists in diagnostic imaging (> 5000 US exams / year, > 1500 CT scans / year).

Nice is a very dynamic city with 1.2 million people living on the Riviera between the italian border to the east and Cannes to the west, the sea at your feet and high mountains in your back. You can expect a true southern french way of life and a consistantly sunny weather. Social life and outdoor activities (Water sports – moutaineering (Mercantour national park) – ski resorts less than one hour from Nice) are an essential part of time off work.


AZURVET is temporarily based at two sites 20 minutes-drive apart (see for more details). Our team includes 10 veterinarians (3 ECVDI, 1 ECVDI-am, 1 ECVIM-cardiology, 1 ECVN, 1 EVDC diplomates and 2 ECVDI residents, 1 EVDC resident) and 7 nurses at current. 1 ACVP diplomate is also joining the team at the beginning of 2019. We offer a 100% referral activity in diagnostic imaging (including teleradiology), neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology (including interventional), dentistery, stomatology, maxillofacial surgery. Our current medical equipment include interventional suite equipped with a new GE C-arm, Endoscopy room (complete Olympus endoscopic suite), 64 slices CT scanner (with power injector), 1 CBCT NewTom 5G, 5 ultrasound machines, Digital Radiography, PACS.

A single purpose-built building spanning over 1300 square meters will be completed in 2019 and will be equipped with MRI on top of the above equipment.

Your schedule will be based on a 4 day week, with stimulating career opportunities. Fluent French is required. Italian is welcome.
