EBVS Award For Outstanding Contributions to the Course of Veterinary Specialisation in Europe
The EBVS Specialisation Award allows the EBVS to acknowledge contributions made by an individual or organisation to the progress and recognition of Veterinary Specialisation in Europe. This might include work on behalf of a College to gain it broad recognition across different European countries, or work in an individual country, across multiple disciplines in a single country or region to help gain recognition for EBVS specialists more generally.
Nominations are needed by 22nd January 2020
Guidelines for Nominations:
A candidate for this Award should:
- Have demonstraed outstanding contributions to the cause of Veterinary Specialisation in Europe.
- Be nominated by Colleges or individuals
Submissions for the Award should be sent to the Nomination Committee and should include:
- A letter summarising the suitability of the nominee
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae.
The Nomination Committee will submit their proposal to the Executive Committee by February 7th. Then, the proposal will be circulated to the EBVS Board to have an electronic vote on it by around the end of the year. The EBVS Board will elect a recipient among any nominations by a two-thirds majority. There will be a maximum of 2 Awards annually.
Closing date for nominations: 22nd January 2019
The recipient(s) of the Award will receive:
An introduction recognising their contribution to Veterinary Specialisation, and the award of an appropriate plaque and certificate at the social event of the Annual Board Meeting.
